Age 52. Passed away Wednesday, July 25, 1979 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Mrs. Pionek was born in Wakefield, Mich. on October 17, 1926 she had been a Racine resident for the past 33 years. She was united in marriage to Ray L. Pionek on May 3, 1947 in Junction City, Wisc. Mrs. Pionek was employed by Andis Clipper Company for 15 years. She was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Ray; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Abbott and Mrs. Anne M. Kobs, both of Racine; three sisters, and three brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Al (Celia) Walenski of Stevens Point, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. James (Helen) Fritz of Green Bay, Mr. and James (Isabelle) Blakely of Racine; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo (Eleanor) Borski of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Frances) Borski of Stevens Point, Wis.; also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Pionek was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and a son-in-law, Ken Abbott. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 8:30 a.m. in the Strout-Sheffield Funeral Home and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Rita’s Catholic Church. Rev. John Molnar O.S.A. will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family Friday evening, July 27, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Strouf-Sheffield Funeral Home, 1001 High St.
