Alan Kaser, Sr. was reunited with his parents and son on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1935 in LaPorte County, IN. He moved to North Liberty at the age of 1 1/2 and resided there for the remainder of his life. Alan was an excellent carpenter by trade. He also worked for several years at Studebakers. Alan was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, feeding and watching his birds and gardening. He especially loved growing sweet corn that he would freeze for his children, grandchildren and St. John's Lutheran Church Thanksgiving dinner. For many years he made and sold maple syrup from the woods behind his house. Alan was a man of many talents who could fix almost anything. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Mildred "Millie" Schrader-Kaser; daughter, Anita Shipley of North Liberty, IN; son, Roy (Diena) Kaser of Earlville, IL; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Harriet Kaser, a son, Alan Jr. and two brothers, Robert and Roy Kaser.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty, IN.
