Sherman S. Kauffman, retired farmer, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home in Osterburg of a heart attack. He was born near Osterburg, January 12, 1869, a son of Jacob and Esther (Weyandt) Kauffman. He was married to Emma J. Miller on March 19, 1896. She survives, together with two children: Mrs. Charles Mowery of Osterburg and Mrs. Charles Johnson of Claysburg, nine grandchildren, a twin brother, Shannon Kauffman of St. Clairsville and one sister, Mrs. Effie Beegle of Roaring Spring. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Imler.
