Avre D. Papst, 85, of Fullerton, died July 1, 2015 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island....[funeral details]....

Mr. Papst was born May 7, 1930 in Grand Island to Duaine and Martha Papst. He grew up on the family farm outside of Fullerton. He raduated from Fullerton High School in 1949. In 1952, he joined the United States Army and served during the Korean War.

Upon returning form the military, he graduated from the University of Nebraska on February 2, 1957 with a Master of Science degree in elementary education, specializing in grad 4-8. On Aug 4, 1961, he graduated with a Master of
Education in school administration. He taught at Omaha Public Schools.

He was a member of the Rangers Motorcycle Club and also drove for Continental Trail Ways bus line for a few years.

After retiring, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his son, his farm, gardening and his flowers, selling his Goo-It, and reading. [...survivors, etc....]
