He was the husband of 55 years to the late Dolores (Scalzo) Snyzyk. Born in Providence a son of the late Peter & Anna (Augustine) Snyzyk.
He is survived by his son Kenneth Snyzyk and his wife Elaine of North Smithfield, grandson Justin Snyzyk and his wife Jillian, his great granddaughters, Rachael and Kara of North Smithfield, and a sister, Joanne Hastings of Lincoln.
Walter was a truck driver for the Sears & Roebuck Co. and he was a resident of North Smithfield for many years. He was also active with the Smithfield Senior Citizens.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Snyzyk, brothers, John, Charles, Joseph, Stanley and Peter Snyzyk and a sister, Margaret Crabbe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10am in St. Theresa's Church, Dion Dr., Nasonville. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Slatersville. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI.
