DEATH NOTICE:
KEEN, Carol Wayve, 80, of Lamoni, died July 26, 2006 at Lamoni Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held July 29 at Decatur Restoration Branch in Decatur, Iowa with Elders Ed Colyer and John Barney officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni. Arrangements were through Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon and Lamoni.

Memorials may be given to Decatur Restoration branch.

OBITUARY
Carol Wayve Keen, age 80 of Lamoni, Iowa, daughter of Wilber Leland and Mildred F. [Judson] Allen, was born December 14, 1925 in Decatur County, Iowa and died July 26, 2006 at Lamoni Nursing and rehabilitation Center.

Carol grew up in Lamoni and graduated from Lamoni High School in 1943. She married Dan Mann, and they lived in Lamoni. Following Dan's death, Carol married Russell Martin Keen. They shared 35 years of marriage and made their home in Lamoni.

Carol was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a young girl. She later became an active member of the Decatur Restoration branch. Carol and Russell did a lot of work in the Decatur Restoration Branch and provided support.

Carol had lots of good friends whom she enjoyed. She was a loving sister and aunt.

Carol was also preceded in death by her parents; infant sister Charlotte Allen, brother Leland Allen in childhood, and sister Maxine Allen in childhood; sister Wilberta Neal; and brother Robert Allen.

She is survived by her husband Russell Keen of Lamoni; two sisters, Nina Konopasek and husband Roy and Betty Hindes and husband Charles, all of Lamoni; Many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
