Phyllis J. Minne, 82, of Dannebrog died Monday, July 20, 2015, at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Family Center in Dannebrog, with Stanley Morrison officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Oakridge Cemetery at Dannebrog.

Mrs. Minne was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Dannebrog to Alton and Connie (Jackson) Hatt.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Thyne.

Survivors include her husband, Glen of Dannebrog; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gailen and Brenda Minne of Dannebrog and Dwight Minne of Greeley, Colo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Jeff Harmon of Monte Vista, Colo., and Teresa and Brian McConnell of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Hatt of Grand Island; and a sister, Arlene Hansen of Fremont.

She was raised in Dannebrog and attended Dannebrog schools, where she graduated in 1950. Phyllis then taught school for a year in a rural school west of Dannebrog.

She was united in marriage to Glen Minne on May 20, 1951, at the home of her parents.

The couple first lived in Wichita Falls, Texas, where Glen was in the U.S. Air Force. They lived there for 3 ½ years and then returned to Dannebrog when Glen was discharged from the Air Force.

The couple moved to California, where they lived for 1 ½ years before moving to Colorado in 1958.

Phyllis worked at the North Valley View Hospital in Monterey Hills, Colo.

They moved to Fort Morgan, Colo., in 1969. While living there, Phyllis worked at the local sugar beet factory.

In 1990, Glen and Phyllis moved to Dannebrog, where they lived at the residence where her parents homesteaded.

Phyllis worked at Harriett's Danish in Dannebrog and also had Phyllis' Bakery in Dannebrog where she sold many baked goods. She loved baking and did so until retiring from baking in 2011.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerald and Rodney Hatt.
