Born October 15, 1925 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of Robert and Edith (Harder) Harris.
He retired from Curwensville State Bank as a Security Officer and Maintanance Supervisor after eleven years of service and prior to that was employed by the former Harbison Walker Refractories as a Mainantance Mechanic.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and had bowled in the City League for several years. He was a WW II U.S. Army Paratrooper Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor J. (Eckley) Harris whom he married June 6, 1946 in Newburg, NY, two sons Don Harris and his wife Sandy of Manheim, PA and John "Jack" Harris and his wife Connie of Clearfield, five grandchildren Tracy Campanini, Stephanie Gordon, Heather Harris, Tyler Harris and Ashley Harris, four great grandchildren, five sisters Mary Ellen Federice and her husband Leo of DuBois, Frances Robbins and her husband John "Whitey" of DuBois, Maxine Iddings of DuBois, Gertrude Troyan of Butler and Ellen Bernardo of DuBois, a brother Jack Harris of DuBois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
