Ashland, Ill., Dec. 22.--William W. Crum, 73 years old, and a resident near Ashland since 1862, died at his home, four miles southwest of the city, today of heart trouble. Mr. Crum had been in falling health for nearly two years.
The deceased was the son of Christian and Mary Robertson Crum, and was born January 1, 1839, in, Cass county, eight miles southwest of Virginia. He married Anne M. Clark, February 5, 1862, and to them were born thirteen children, six of whom survive, they are, Mrs. William Cleary of Jacksonville, Mrs. George Coudy of Madison, Mrs. George Wittlinger of Ashland, and the Misses Bertha, Edith and Alma, all at home. Three brothers and two sisters also survive; C. M. Crum of St. Louis, B. M. Crum of Virginia, and George A. Crum of Weber Falls, Okla., and Mrs. S. W. Dinwiddle of Literberry and Mrs. S. D. Epler of Pleasant Plains.
