Karen Elizabeth Gondol, of Battle Creek and formerly of Kalkaska, passed away on July 19, 2015 at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on January 2, 1945 in Owosso, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Clariece (Bouchard) Vsetula.

Karen is survived by her children, Karrie J. (Chuck) Morgan of Battle Creek and Simon J. (Cheryal Zielinski) Gondol, III of Kalkaska; her grandchildren, Michael (Andie) Colby of Taylor, Megan Colby of Flat Rock, Katie Gondol of Traverse City, Correna Gondol of Battle Creek, Lindsay Gondol of Kalkaska and Emily Gondol of Traverse City; and her sister Pat (Charlie) Wasson of Flint.

Karen was an avid Red Wings fan, Nascar and scary movies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and children and her companion, Buster, the cat.

Visitation will begin on Friday, July 24th from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm with additional visitation beginning at 11:00. Pastor Kim Hough of the Garfield Country Church officiating. Burial will be at Fife Lake Cemetery.
