Julia "Madonna" Kasper, 97, of Ankeny passed away July 15, 2015.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2015 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Church, in Ankeny. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the mass.

Madonna was born September 12, 1917 in Des Moines, Iowa to George and Mary Pierick. She graduated from East High School.

She married Andrew Kasper June 17, 1939. Together they had 5 sons, and made their home in Des Moines.

Madonna and her husband owned and operated Kerryland Company, in Des Moines.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, genealogy, painting, and spending time with her family.

Madonna is survived by her children, Andy (Karla), Chris (Michaelene), Greg (Mary Jo), Tim (Brenda), Matt (Silvija), 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Edward and his wife Mary Ann.
