FRANK J. BEER TAKEN BY DEATH
Funeral services for Frank J. Beer, who died Wednesday at Munson hospital will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home in the Elk Lake community. Rev. William slack will officiate and burial will be made in Maple Grove cemetery.
Mr. Beer was born in New York state and came to Elk Rapids when a young man. On June 27th, 1900, he was married to Margaret E. Morrison of Elk Lake. In 1906 he entered the employ of Grinnell Bros. Music company and for 25 years he managed branch houses in Alpena, Saginaw, Battle Creek, Petoskey, Traverse City and Gladstone. In 1931 he returned to the Elk Lake community and engaged in horticulture. He was a Past Master of the Masonic lodge in Elk Rapids.
Surviving besides his widow are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Cox of Elk Rapids; Mrs. Roscoe Aslett of Spencer Port, N. Y.; two brothers, Bert and William Beer of Grand Rapids; two nephews, Norval Cox of Royal Oak and Ernest Aslett of Spencer Port, N. Y.
