Jack Guynn was born October 5, 1909, in Sheyenne, North Dakota to Jesse W. And Furney Guynn. Before moving to Roseburg from Klamath Falls he resided in Portland. He was employed as a truck driver for the Berke Brothers. He was working grading the new location for the Pacific highway south of Roseburg.
He died early Sunday morning August 13, 1939 in an auto accident north of the city limits. Funeral services were held at the Douglas Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Civil Bend Cemetery.
