Thomas F. Keating, 73, of 2209 Stanbridge St., Norristown, formerly of West Chester, died yesterday at the Charles Johnson Nursing Home in Royersford after a long illness.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late William and Caroline Heck Keating and lived in West Chester until the death of his wife, Jessie Malin, in 1969. Mr. Keating was a foreman at the Keystone Tag Co. until 1956 and had been a salesman at Joe's Workman's Outfitters for many years.
He attended West Chester schools and was a member of St. Agnes' Church, VFW Post 106, Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1720, and Retired Mens Club of Norristown. He was a veteran of World War I and served in France for two years.
He is survived by a daughter, Lois, wife of James H. Ivins with whom he made his home; three sisters, Mrs. Bernard Hermley, Mrs. Edna Carr and Miss Julia Keating, all of Philadelphia; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Lawrence J. Reilly Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery.

Relatives and friends, members of the V.F.W. Post 106 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1720 are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Lawrence J. Reilly Funeral Home, 410 N. Church St., West Chester, Pa. Interment Green Mount Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
