Roma was into music and plays, according to the newspapers. She graduated at the College of Emporia in 1918. She married a fellow student named William L S Cook.

Roma Prunty Cook, 94, Shawnee, died July 20, 1991, in the Trinity Lutheran Manor, 9700 W. 62nd St., Merriam. She was born in Wellington, Kan., and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1923. Mrs. Cook, who also was known as Mrs. W. Lanphere Cook, taught music in her home for 30 years before she retired. She was a member of the Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Guild of American Organists, and Mu Phi Epsilon. Her husband, William Lanphere Cook, died in 1982. Survivors include a son of Mission; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Newcomer's Stine & McClure Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the church.
