MARION, Va. Stacy Lee Farmer age 81, passed away on Thursday July 16, 2015, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. He was born in Rugby, Va., to the late Gaither and Angie Farmer. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Talmadge F. Farmer; and sister, Mildred Farmer. Stacy worked for over 30 years at the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute. He enjoyed laughing and joking, and being with all of his friends. He especially enjoyed his friends at the Diamond Cab Stand. Survivors Include two brothers, Robert Earl Farmer, and Willis Joe Farmer and wife, Linda; three nephews, Michael Farmer and wife, Linda, Eric Farmer, and Matthew Farmer; two nieces, Laura K. Farmer, and Victoria Farmer; sister in law, Shirley Farmer; special friend, Vicki Bridgeman ; speical other loving family, Susan Q. Farmer and Bernice Emerson, and a host of cousins and other extended family. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion with Pastor Jerry Creasy officiating.
