ALVIN - Charles Maurice Cagle, 67, of Alvin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Mr. Cagle was born September 27, 1934, in Brandon, Texas to Carson and Willie Faye Cagle. He retired from Monsanto Chemical as an operator with over 30 years of service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2002, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 East Medical Center in Webster, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster with Mike Kouba, minister of League City Church of Christ, officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Faye and Carson Cagle; grandson, Jared Reed and granddaughter,
Kristin Reed.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Cagle; two daughters, Stacey D. Griswold and husband, Bo and Kay Boone and husband, Mike. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Roy Bolton, Brandon Reed, Erin Bolton, Ross Griswold, IV, Tiger Boone and Nicole Cleary.
