Margaret Ann was the daughter of Daniel D. Custard and Susannah Berger. Margaret Custard married Terrel Anderson on 25 May 1850 in Henry County, Indiana. Margaret died 18 Jul 1916 in Kennard, Henry, Indiana from Double Lobar Pneumonia from which she had suffered from for 8 days. She was at the home of her son, Amos Anderson. She was a member of the Knightstown and Raysville Monthly Meeting of The Friends. Margaret and Terrel had seven children: Mary Frances, Delia, Amos, Anna Margaret, Emma, Eva and Medora.
Note: the spelling of her last name was Custard. Later generations spelled it Custer.

Funeral was held Thursday at 10 o'clock at the Friends church in Grant City. Interment was made at Glencove cemetery."
