"Mr. George Cleveland Singfield Sr., of 1312 Augusta Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998 at Wallace Thompson Hospital, Union, S.C.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis B. Moss III officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
Mr. Singfield, a native of Richmond County, had retired as a shipping clerk from Swartz Manufacturing. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Retirees Group. He was a member of the Senior Citizen Group at the Shilo Community Center.
Survivors include two sons, George Singfield Jr., Long Island, N.Y., and Robert Singfield, Wheaton, Md.; one daughter, Mamie McDonald, Augusta; two brothers, Charles Singfield, Chester, S.C., and Robert Singfield, Birmingham, Ala.; and one sister, Ella Lassiter, Augusta.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of Tabernacle Baptist Church and senior citizens of Shilo Community Center.
Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home."
