Born Thomas E Brewer in Mariposa County, CA in 1896, he left home between 1910 and 1920, changed his name and enlisted in the Army. He did not return home until after his wife Marie died in 1954.

Edward Vincent Myrel was born Thomas E Brewer in 1896 - Thomas graduated from the Green Mountain School in Mariposa County, CA in 1911 and soon after left home not to be heard of again until he made contact with the family again sometime in the late 50's or early 60's. He changed his name and birthdate I am assuming so he could join the military."
