Former Resident Died June 8 In California

Mrs. Ida Jenkins, Cave-in-Rock, widow of the late Albert Jenkins, received a message Friday informing her of the sudden death of her son, Herbert William Jenkins, 49, at his home in San Fernando, Calif. Mr. Jenkins died in his sleep of a heart attack at about 8:00 p. m. Wednesday.

Mr. Jenkins, who was a native of Hardin county, had lived in California for the past 20 years. He was an employee of G. M. Fisher Bodies, at Burbanks, Calif.

In addition to his mother, surviving members of his family are his widow, Mrs. Irene Jenkins, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Jenkins Nightingale, Dearborn, Mich., and Mrs. Wilma Jenkins Butler, Peoria, Ill., and one son Weldon Franklin Jenkins, Salinas, Calif.

The funeral was held Tuesday at San Fernando and burial was in a cemetery there. His mother was unable to attend, but one of the daughters, Mrs. Nightingale, went from her home in Dearborn.
