MRS. VINA MCCORKLE HOWELL
Aged Lady Crosses the Great Divide
The Saint Jo Tribune is speaking of the death of Mrs. Vina Howell, which occurred in that town recently among other mention here: Vina McCorkle was born April 14, 1839 at Decatur, Tennessee where she was married in April, 1860 to Joseph A. Howell. Six sons and one daughter were born to them, of whom the daughter and four sons survive. The family moved to Texas in 1867 and located at Gainesville. Her husband died in 1877. Mrs. Howell moved to Montague County in 1905.
