Naomi J. Capone, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at River Bluff Nursing Home. Born on February 12, 1930, in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Leo and Thelma (Keith) Wilson.
She attended Rockford Business College and worked many years in the retail sector. Naomi married James A. Capone on September 24, 1954 at St. Mary's Church in Freeport. He predeceased her January 26, 1963.
She was a member of St. Peter Cathedral in Rockford where she was involved in CCD, taught Sunday school, ran book ministry at Charismatic Prayer Group.
Survived by: children, Marilyn Capone, John (Kathy) Capone, and Phyllis (Craig) Knipprath; four grandchildren, Kristin (Michael) Genslinger, Joseph (Morgan) Capone, Emily Capone, James (Danielle) Capone; great-grandchildren, Kora and Camden; and ten brothers and sisters.
