Shirley worked for the City of Evansville for 35 years. She worked in the record room for the Police Department, Levy Authority and was assistant superintendent for the city cemeteries. Shirley was a lifetime member of the VFW 1114, Amaranth - Elmer Markel Memorial Ct., Order of the Eastern Star - Robert Morris #87, White Shrine of Jerusalem - Bethlehem Shrine #2 and an associate member of FOP 73. She was formerly on the Advisory Board and Advisory Council for the Salvation Army, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Board Member of the Center for Family Life and worked at the Ozanam Shelter.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, ; daughter,
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm Sunday July 19, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am Monday July 20, 2015 at the funeral home with Fr. Jay Davidson officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
