Lucia M. Nielsen, 78, of Battle Creek died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at her residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1928, in Battle Creek, Lucia Matilda Nielsen was the daughter of Edward and Hilda (Martens) Reimer. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1946. She lived in the Battle Creek area all her life.
She was married to Einar H. Nielsen on Jan. 1, 1948, in Battle Creek.
Survivors include her husband, Einar; two children and their spouses, Roger and Joan Nielsen and Randy and Cindy Nielsen, all of Battle Creek; a son-in-law and his wife, Brian and Lorie Hazelton of Monroe, Iowa; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Ann Hazelton; her parents; and a granddaughter, Korver Hazelton.
