Mrs. Jessie Clark
Mrs. Jessie Bill Clark, 96, of Lake Lure, died early Monday morning at a Henderson County hospital after an extended illness.
She was a native of Reads Landing, Minn., and had been a prominent musician of St. Paul, Minn. before her retirement in 1959. She had been a teacher of beginning and advanced piano pupils and organist and choir director of the First Christian Church of St. Paul for 27 years. She was also a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists, a member of the Gen. Henry A. Sibley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Meriam Park Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Paul, Minn.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth A. Jacobson of Lake Lure; one brother, Earl M. Bill of Erie, PA, three grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Wednesday at Shepard's Church Street Chapel. The Rev. Fred Herlong will officiate. A memorial service will also be held at the Church of the Transfiguration, Bat Cave at a date to be announced. Burial will be at a later date at Riverview Cemetery, Wabasha, Minn.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
