Mr. Grimmett died Saturday, July 8 in Cullman. He was born in Cullman on Feb. 18, 1925, to Luther and Mattie Powell Grimmett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willene Marie Childers Grimmett; and his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Julie) Grimmett of Gardendale and Robert Grimmett of Cullman; three grandchildren, Nathen, Courtney and Chase Grimmett; a sister, Trilbia Creekmore of Cullman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
