Harry D. McBride, in his 24th year, died Friday night at midnight at his home, 1029 Gold Street, after an illness of about four months. He had been employed as an inside trouble man for the Bell Telephone Exchange.
Mr. McBride is survived by his young wife, the former Margaret Spellman, also by his mother, Mrs. Catherine (Maloney) McBride, and two brothers, Archie and Alex.
He was 23 years, 9 months old. During his long illness he underwent a surgical operation in the hope of being benefited, but no permanent relief was given by the operation.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Patrick's Church with services conducted by the Rev. Fr. Dailey. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The marriage of Miss Margaret Spellman and Harry McBride was solemnized at St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral at 6 o'clock this morning by the Rev. Fr. M.A. Tarrant. The bridesmaid was Miss Fannie Hubner and Alex McBride, a brother of the groom, was best man.
Miss Spellman wore white crepe de chine with hat to match and a corsage bouquet of roses. She was a charming picture as she walked down the aisle to the strains of the Wedding March. Miss Hubner wore yellow organza with a black hat.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Spellman and the late Matthew Spellman, the groom a son of Mrs. Catherine McBride. Following the ceremony a sumptuous wedding breakfast was enjoyed at the home of the bride's mother on Belle Street.
The couple departed on a short honeymoon trip after which they will make their home in Alton.
