He died Thursday, May 7, 1998 at Mississippi State Veteran's Home in Collins, MS following an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Smithville until his
move in 1984.
His parents were the late Lee and Edith Loring.
He was a member of Collins United Methodist Church, a former member of Smithville First United Methodist Church, served on DeKalb County Commission,
DeKalb County School Board, retired Director of Small Business Administration for the state of Tennessee, member of Okatoma Masonic Lodge # 604 of Collins,
MS, Shriners Alamana Temple, and Scottish Rite 32 degree Mason.
He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Bess Mitchell Loring; two brothers: Charles and Jack Loring of Smithville.
Mr. Loring is survived by his wife, Amy Miller Loring of Collins, MS; three daughters: Jane Trigg Morris of Chattanooga, Mary Lee Raulerson of Gallatin and Toy
Lyons of Laurel, MS; two sons: Buddy and John H. Miller both of
Collins, MS.
Pall Bearers were Mike, Mark, Joe and Bob Loring, Danny Foutch, Frank Huddlcston and, Joe Huddleston.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home of Smithville was in charge of arrangements.
