Twila M. Horter, age 88, of Kahoka, MO, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Twila was born January 29, 1927, south of Wayland, MO, a daughter of Simon and Ethel Krueger Jesberg.

On March 27, 1955 she was united in marriage to Stanley L. Horter in Kahoka. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2007.

Twila attended the Lone Star School and graduated from Kahoka High School. She was a long-time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka.

Survivors include three sons: Charles (LuJean) Horter of Kahoka, James S. Horter of Clarinda, IA, and Paul (Vicki) Horter of Wayland; one daughter, Ethel (Mrs. Kevin) Eagle of Kahoka; eight grandchildren: Sara Lewis of Kahoka, Karen (Mrs. Sam) Philp of Farmington, Ashley (Mrs. Steve) Smith of Madison, MO, Quentin Horter of Clarinda, IA, Raven (Mrs. Terrance) Spight of St. Louis, Bethany Eagle of Kahoka, Brandon Hall of Columbia, and Corey Horter of Wayland; seven great-grandchildren: Allison and Emily Lewis, Hunter and Logan Philp, Makia Shipp, and Tatyana and Sophia Spight; a sister-in-law, Helen Pearson of Revere; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Doug Horter; and, three sisters: Elizabeth Heinze, Doris Eddleman, and Betty Boltz.

Twila was a homemaker. She never worked outside of the home and found complete contentment in doing so.

Burial in the Kahoka Cemetery.
