Kermit G. Besaw passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 1978, at Saginaw General Hospital after a lingering illness. Age 63 years. He was born July 6, 1914, in Standish, coming to Saginaw when a young man. He married Betty Neuschafer in Saginaw Oct. 29, 1938. She survives him. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, its Ushers Club, the Patternmaker's League of North America. Mr. Besaw was employed at Chevrolet Grey Iron for 25 years as a patternmaker before his illness. Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Jan Michael Besaw, Saginaw; James Charles Besaw, Glendora, CA; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Small, Saginaw; Mrs. Howard Small, Saginaw; Mrs. Elgie Hasselbeck, Marlette, MI; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Alyce Besaw, Saginaw.
Funeral service will take place 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Deisler Brothers Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State), 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Carrollton. Rev. Joseph Miller will officiate with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Hemmeter after 2:00 p.m. Sunday where they will meet with relatives at 7:00 p.m. Sunday to pray the Rosary. The family will be present from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Those who so desire may make memorials to their favorite charity.
