DeLana Joy Attaway, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2012 at her home in Coppell, Texas. She was born November 3, 1952 to Larry and Bobbie Paul in Garland, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4:30 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Valley Ranch Baptist Church of Coppell. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Restland Coppell Chapel.
DeLana graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1975 with a Masters Degree in Education. DeLana married the love of her life, Dick Attaway, on December 17, 1977 in Duncanville, Texas. She and her husband moved to Coppell in 1991 where she became a middle school teacher for Coppell. She taught at Coppell Middle School West for six years then at Coppell Middle School North for twelve. DeLana was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco and the Coppell High School Band Boosters Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Bobbie Paul.
DeLana is survived by her loving husband, Dick Attaway of Coppell, Tx; daughter, Danae Crume and husband, Bob of Lakewood, Co; son, David Attaway and wife, Melinda of Washington, DC; son, Dustin Attaway of Coppell, Tx; and granddaughter, Anna Crume of Lakewood, Co.
