Mr. Elbert Ernest Everett Jr, 65, of Lucedale, MS, passed away on July 13, 2015, at Ochshner’s Hospital, in New Orleans, LA. He was born in Mobile, AL, on November 21, 1949.

He enjoyed talking on the HAM radio, reading, traveling, photography, fishing, spending time with his family and pets, and wood working.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Ernest Everett Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Garrett Everett; children, Marie (Russ) Smart, Kari Everett, Chris (Bobbi-Jo) Everett, Bobby Allen (Leita) Powell, and Christa (Billy) Hudalla; mother, Lodica Huff Everett; brothers: Michael (Kathy) Everett, Terry (Cindy) Everett, Samuel (Sharon) Everett II, Joseph (Dianna) Everett; sisters: Jenney Trucks, Eland (Mark) Williams, Pam Everett and Deborah (Nathan) Bishop; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, at 10:00 am at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS, with Reverend Scott Lenoir officiating with a one hour visitation prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.
