Glen Omer Beard, 56, who had been in failing health for the last two weeks, died Monday afternoon in the Butler Township School where he was employed as a janitor.
The decedent was born July 31, 1905, in Miami County, to Levi and Hattie (Case) Beard and was married Sept. 27, 1930, to Evelyn Pyle, who survives.
Mr. Beard was owner of Beard's Grocery Store at Peoria. He was a member of the Peru Moose Lodge.
Other survivors include two sons, Gerald L. Beard and John Arnold; a sister, Miss Ruth Beard; and five grandchildren. One son and one sister preceded him in death.
