Marriage licenses were issued yesterday to the following couples:
Sam H. Adams to Miss Josephine L. Terrio, both of this city.
James W. Means to Miss Sallie D. Frame, both of Buchanan county.
R. Lee Osborn to Miss Jessie Bloch, both of Seneca, Kan.
Mr. Adams and Miss Terrio were married by Justice Lyon last night at the residence of the bride's mother.

DEATHS
Mrs. Josephine L. Adams, 74-year-old widow of Samuel H. Adams, died last night at a local hospital. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong resident of St Joseph. She made her home at 301 South 9th street. Mrs. Adams, was a member of the Auxiliary of the Corp. Fred Seifert Post No. 1668, the Garden Club, the Hobby Club of Betsy Ross Service Star Legion, American War Dads and Rebekahs. Mrs. Adams is survived by a son, Allen D. (Jimmie) Adam,. Kansas City, Mo.; two Tormey, Milton, Del., and Mrs. [sic] daughters Mrs. Louise Adams Catherine VanCIeave, St. Joseph; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.

Services for Mrs. Josephine L. Adams will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 at Meierhoffer-Fleeman's mortuary. The Rev. Gene Merrill will preside. Burial will be in Mount Auburn cemetery. Mrs. Adams, widow of Samuel Adams, died Friday night at a hospital here. She was 74 years old and resided at 301 South 9th street.
