His marker reads: "In Memory of Joseph Donaghy, who departed this life, January 6, 1841 in the 84th year of his age. A resident of Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania upward of 46 years and long an elder in the Presbyterian Church. 'Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labours; and their words do follow them.'"
