This, from a relative concerning Edith:
Aunt Edith evidently lived much of her life in White Plains (at least my mother thinks it was White Plains), New York. Upon her husband's death...don't know when....my Uncle Meredith persuaded her to come to Grand Rapids and live near her sister (this according to my mother). I remember her, although not very well as I was 9 when she died and she was sick for some time before. I do know she lived upstairs in the house where Uncle Mert (Meredith) lived downstairs and we lived very near by until I was almost 6. She had cancer and had a very large tumor which she refused to have removed because she was of the Christian Science religion. She eventually went into a coma at which time, my grandmother, Ethel was able to make the medical decision to have it removed, but it was too late and she died. My mother said Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Art came to Grand Rapids and traveled with her body by train to White Plains for burial, I assume near her husband. My mother said Aunt Edith lived in Grand Rapids for a good number of years, but didn't know the date.
