Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 16 at Old Union for Mrs. Elizabeth Susan Adams, who passed away April 14 at a rest home in Richmond. She was 95.

Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 16 in Gower, the daughter of John and Susan Fiddler.

She was united in marriage to Wm. Adams on March 6, 1877. He preceded her in death in 1910.

Her only child, Mabel Adams Hill, also preceded her in death in 1950.

Mrs. Adams made her home with her daughter and her family after her husband's passing. She became a member of the Christian Union Church at an early age.

"Granny" or "Aunt Lizzie" as she was better known, was always an active person, loving the out-of-doors.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Gilbert Hill; three grandchildren, Keith and Kenneth Hill, and Mrs. Marie Prichard; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Wilbur Holman of Independence, was the officiating minister. Music was provided by Mrs. Mina Hill and John Hill. Pallbearers were John Briant, Gene Helm, Don Nolker, Gene Nolker, Robert Prichard, and Richard Prichard.

Burial was in the Union cemetery.
