Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Tjaden, 61, who died Sept. 24 at St. Francis hospital, Peoria, were held at 1:30 pm Sept. 26 at Pacey Memorial home and at 2 pm at St. Peters Lutheran church at Benson. Interment was in the church cemetery. She was born June 24, 1899, in Roanoke, the daughter of Chris and Katherine Vollmer Brandt. She was married Aug. 2, 1917, at Benson to Jacob H. H. Tjaden, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Gerdes of Washburn and Mrs. Mary Heck of Roanoke; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Brandt of East Peoria and Ervin Brandt of Washburn.
