Juanita Terry Dyess, 75, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, July 08, 2015, at her residence.

She was a member of Citronelle United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, an active choir member, served on the administrative board and various committees. She enjoyed having the church Christmas carolers over every Christmas for a meal with her chili as the main course. Juanita was disqualified from entering her chili in the church chili cook-off because she would have won hands down. Juanita loved traveling Europe with Mack and the energizers group from Alabama Power Company. She loved her family and spending time with them.

Juanita was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her, especially her husband of 52 years, William M. Dyess; sons, John (Amber) Dyess, Mark Dyess, and Matt (Amanda) Dyess; daughter, Julie Weir; sister, Jeanelle Rawles; grandchildren, Dylan, Hayleygh, Danyca, Luke, Gavin, Gage, and Trey; practice granddaughter, Christina and many other relatives and friends.

A wake will be held for Juanita on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 6 to 9pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 11am at Citronelle United Methodist Church with Rev. Anthony Tutor and Rev. Kathy Fisher officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com. Freeman Funeral Home – Citronelle, Alabama.
