Rex and Lois lived briefly in California where Lois worked for Douglas Aircraft. They next lived in Lyman Wyoming for 7 years before relocating to Groves, Texas, the mid 1950’s, where they settled to raise their family. They split their time between Texas during the school year and Rex’s hometown of King City, Missouri, during the summer months where they enjoyed life on the farm. Lois spent her life raising four daughters and providing a loving home for her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing big meals for family and friends. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Port Arthur Texas, where she and Rex formed many life-long friendships with their church family. Lois enjoyed playing bridge and was in a bridge club with dear friends for many years. She and Rex loved to dance and never missed an opportunity to take to the dance floor. They also loved to travel and shared many wonderful adventures together. She worked off and on through the years at Dryden’s Department Store in Groves.
Lois was blessed with a happy life and a loving family which included 4 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She spent the last 7 years of her life in Oklahoma City with her daughter Robin and son-in-law Doug during which time she became a great grandmother to two beautiful girls, Olivia and Emily, who brought her immeasurable joy.
