A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Drum officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
A native of Henderson, NC, Mary Lou was born on December 27, 1924, the daughter of the late William Henry and Seppie Ella Guice Bishop. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, and for many years helped care for residents of Countryside Manor in Stokesdale. She also provided private duty nursing care to the sick and disabled at Wesley Long and Cone Hospitals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Douglas Wilson, on March 22, 2000.
Surviving are her three children Ronald Wilson of Stokesdale, Steve Wilson and his wife, Marie, of Kernersville and Cathy Justice of Reidsville; two grandchildren Kaylee Justice and Dustin Justice (Paige); and three great grandchildren Grayson, Harlen, and Kyler.
The Wilson family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Countryside Manor and Dr. Fried of Eagle Health Care in Oak Ridge, and nurse Sarah Holt for the extraordinary care and loving attention shown to their mother during her stay at Countryside.
