He was born in Bohemia and died October 29, 1957 Ridgeway, Harrison County, Missouri at the home of his brother, Charles Lab. He was son of John Laba and first wife, Barbara Vanasek. He came to America with his father and step-mother, Anna (Sadecky) Laba in 1881. He was a farmer and had never married.
