Services for George Arnold Dooley, 52, who died Dec. 14th, at his home near Harvell, were held Dec.17, at the John W. German Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernal Wells of Hayti officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
He was born Jun 28th, 1923 in Pemiscot County, the son of the late George A. and Gloria E. Dooley. He was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Dooley of Gary, Ind.; five sons, George and David Dooley of Gary, Ind., Vernie Dooley of Valparaiso, Ind., George (Tony) Dooley of Los Gates, Calif., and Sharold Dooley of Joplin; one brother, C.A. Dooley of Marston, three sisters, Mrs. Vera Pruitt of Murdock, Ga., Mrs. Lois Allison of Poplar Bluff, and Mrs. Eunice Back of Harvell; two half-brothers, Virgil and Verlan Dooley, both of Detroit, Mich.; one half-sister, Mrs. Wanda Gilmore of Gary, Ind.; his stepmother, Mrs. Opal Brown of Gary, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
