Hattie Lorraine Tabler, 89, a lifetime resident of Damascus, Maryland, went in peace to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 4, 2015.

She was born May 19, 1926 in Damascus, where she made many lifelong friends.

Lorraine was a member and supporter of Mountain View United Methodist Church, Damascus. She was an active church member, and loved attending church activities because of the fellowship she found there.

Lorraine cherished her visits with family and friends, and her home was always open to them. She enjoyed mornings at McDonalds with her breakfast group, and going to Tom & Rays where she could visit with her many friends.

She and her mother Addie King participated for many years in the Montgomery County Fair, receiving ribbons for their entries of canned goods, and garden vegetables.

Lorraine was particularly proud of her 38 years of service at King Floor Company in Damascus, as office manager. She was an integral part of the day to day operations.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband Howard L. Tabler, her mother Addie May Brown King and her brother William E. King.

She is survived by her loving sister Frances Josephson of New Carrollton, Maryland; her beloved dog “Baby”; many nieces & nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 3-7 p.m. Sunday July 12, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday July 13, at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept. Activities Building , Lewis Drive, Damascus; Graveside services and interment will be held 1:30 p.m. at the Upper Seneca Baptist Cemetery, Germantown, Md
