Daughter of Grover William and Blanche Ploughe Sims.
Wife of 1) Walter J. Padgett, and after his death she
married 2) Paul Victor Meneely.

MELBA S. MENEELY, 71, of 1659 S. Williams Rd., died at
12:10 p.m. yesterday at the Wesley Manor Health Care
Center. She had been ill for the past year.
A retired teacher, Mrs. Meneely taught in Clinton County
for 23 years, 20 years in Frankfort.
She was active in the Mulberry United Methodist Church,
and was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church,
United Methodist Women's Circle, and the Mulberry OES.
She was a 1930 graduate of Indiana Central University,
and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
She was born June 22, 1908, in Boone County, the
daughter of Grover and Blanche (Ploughe) Sims. She was
married to Walter Padgett, who died Feb 7, 1968. On
April 2, 1971 she married Paul V. Meneely. He died April 21,1976.
Survivors include one son, James S. Padgett of Frankfort; two
stepdaughters, Chris Padgett of Frankfort and Bonnie Fifer of
Camby; and four step grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Goodwin Funeral
Home. The Rev. O.B. Thomas and the Rev. Marvin Cook will officiate.
Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today.
