Harriet E. (Southwick) Hibbard was the daughter of David and Laura (Harrington) Southwick. David was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Charlotte (Haddock) Southwick. David was born 22 Feb 1808, Locke, Cayuga, NY and died in 1879. Laura Harrington was born in 1811 and died in 1863.

Harriett was married to Ezra W. Hibbard.

They had 4 children: Lucena A. (Hibbard) Cole (b. 1854), Mary L. "Mattie" (Hibbard) Young Griffith (1855-1923), Frank B. Hibbard (1860-1921), and Freddie Hibbard (1868-1869).
