Garner was born Aug. 27, 1919, in North Carolina and went to sing in heaven on July 6. He was a WWII veteran and an aviation physiologist at the FAA. He loved his family, traveling, and barbershop singing. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Predeceased by his wife, Grace; and son, Richard; he is survived by son, Gregg; daughter-in-law, Lorna; grandchildren, Lisa (Justin) and Chris (Maggie); and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service at St. Mark's UMC, Bethany, Wednesday, July 8 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the OK Chorale Barbershop Chorus or St. Mark's UMC.
