Son of Jefferson Allen and Mary Emaline Davis

Husband of Mary A. Stewart/Stuart, m. January 23, 1883, Jackson County, Illinois. She was the daughter of William Stewart and Jane Butcher.

At the time of his death, he had lived in Port Arthur, Texas for 19 years. He was a cabinet maker.

When the 1870 U.S. census was recorded, Beverly was living in the John Doolin household in Jackson County, Illinois. He is 7 years old and his mother, Mary Emaline, doesn't appear in the household. His sister, was the wife of John Doolin. She died in 1870.

During the 1880 U.S. census, Beverly is living in Grand Tower, Jackson County, Illinois in the William Phelps household. He is listed as a nephew.

In 1900, Beverly and his wife, Mary are living in Lincoln County, Mississippi with their children. Their oldest son was born in Illinois, two of their sons are listed as being born in Texas, a daughter who was born in Illinois and their youngest daughter was born in Mississippi. Children listed are, J. William, Josiah Beverly, Rolland, E. Hazel and Gladys.

In 1910, the family has moved to Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. Beverly and Mary live in the household with their children, Rolland Athol, Lee, Gladys and Martha. A boarder by the name of Louise Martin from Alabama is also living in the household.
