Funeral services for Bessie McCloud Hamilton, 83, were held Monday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. from the Stricklin-King Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Frank Wheat officiating.
Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hamilton died Nov. 6 of heart failure at King's Daughter Hospital.
Born on Jan. 25, 1910 in Copiah County, she is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry McCloud.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Beauregard Methodist Church in Copiah County.
Survivors include her husband, Emmett C. Hamilton of Yazoo City; four sons, Prentiss Tarver of Beaumont, Calif., Claude Tarver of Bossier City, La., and Geniel Hamilton of Neola, Utah; three daughters Willie Mae Broce of Thomasville, Ga., Peggy Trim of McKinleyville, Calif., and Sarah Herrick of Pearl; two sisters, Beulah Brown of Brookhaven and Addie Tarver of McComb' 24 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren.
